# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Apple Filling

01 - 3 medium apples, cored and chopped small (try Fuji or Gala varieties)
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
03 - 65 g white sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
05 - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
06 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water

→ Cheesecake Filling

07 - 200 g cream cheese, room temperature
08 - 50 g white sugar
09 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Dough

10 - 10–12 store-bought pie crusts or your own dough (flatten into 4–5 inch rounds)

→ Frying

11 - Vegetable oil for deep frying

→ Glaze (Optional)

12 - 120 g confectioners' sugar
13 - 2 tablespoons milk
14 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

# How to Make It:

01 - Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Toss in the chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook about 5-7 minutes until apples get soft, stirring now and then. Pour in the cornstarch mix and cook another 1-2 minutes till everything thickens up. Take off heat and set aside to cool down.
02 - Mix the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until it's smooth with no lumps. Put aside for later.
03 - Stretch your dough circles to 4-5 inches across if needed. Drop 1 tablespoon of the cheese mix and 1 tablespoon of apple mix in the middle of each circle. Fold over into a half-moon and press edges together with a fork. Pop them in the fridge for 15-20 minutes to firm up.
04 - Pour oil about 2 inches deep in a pan and heat to 175°C. Fry pies in small batches, just 2-3 at once, for about 2-3 minutes on each side till they turn golden. Move to paper towels to soak up extra oil.
05 - For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla till smooth. Drizzle it on warm pies or dip them in. Serve while they're still warm for the best taste!

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - You can also bake these at 375°F for 20-25 minutes with beaten egg brushed on top for a nice golden color.
02 - Keep any leftovers in a sealed container in your fridge up to 3 days. Warm them up in an oven or air fryer to make them crispy again.
03 - Try adding a drizzle of caramel to the apple mix for extra sweetness.
