In a bowl, thoroughly combine cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until well incorporated. Spread mixture in an even layer in the prepared baking dish.

While brownies cool, puree the chopped strawberries and remaining teaspoon of vanilla extract in a food processor or with an immersion blender until smooth.

Stir the strawberry puree into confectioner's sugar until smooth, adding additional sugar as needed to achieve proper glaze consistency. Incorporate salt and mix well.

Spread strawberry glaze evenly over the cooled brownies. Allow to stand until completely cooled, then cut into 12 squares. Alternatively, refrigerate until ready to serve.
