Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground sausage, breaking up meat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt butter. Add flour and stir continuously for 1 minute to form a light roux.

Gradually whisk whole milk into the roux, stirring until mixture is smooth and has thickened.

Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Stir in cooked sausage until evenly distributed. Remove from heat.

Coat a 9x13 inch baking dish with nonstick spray. Pour sausage gravy mixture evenly into the dish.

Evenly sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the sausage gravy.

Separate biscuits from can and arrange evenly over the top of the filling.

Place in the oven and bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown and fully cooked through.

Allow pie to cool slightly before dividing into servings.
