Philly Cheese Steak Burgers (Print-Friendly Version)

Beef patties, provolone, and sautéed vegetables bring Philly-inspired flavors to your favorite burger.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Patties

01 - 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
02 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
04 - 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

→ Vegetables

05 - 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
06 - 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
07 - 4 ounces mushrooms, sliced

→ Assembly

08 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
09 - 4 slices provolone cheese
10 - 4 hamburger buns, toasted

# How to Make It:

01 - In a medium mixing bowl, combine ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly without overworking the meat and shape into 4 uniform patties.
02 - Preheat a skillet or grill to medium-high heat. Place patties on the surface and sear for 3 to 4 minutes per side until preferred doneness is achieved. One minute before removing from heat, top each patty with a slice of provolone cheese and allow it to melt.
03 - Heat olive oil in a separate skillet over medium heat. Add sliced bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms. Sauté for 6 to 8 minutes until the vegetables are softened and lightly caramelized.
04 - Spread mayonnaise or cheese sauce on the cut sides of toasted buns if desired. Layer each bottom bun with a cheese-topped patty, distribute sautéed vegetables evenly over the patties, and finish with the top buns. Serve immediately while hot.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Avoid pressing down on the patties during cooking to retain maximum juiciness.
