Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

01 - 1 lb lean ground beef
02 - 5 cloves garlic, minced
03 - 1/3 cup brown sugar
04 - 1/4 cup beef broth
05 - 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
06 - 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
07 - 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
08 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
09 - Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
10 - 10 oz linguine (or gluten-free alternative like rice noodles)
11 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
12 - 2 tablespoons water
13 - 4 green onions, sliced

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Cook linguine or preferred pasta in a large pot of salted, boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat and reduce heat to medium.
03 - Add minced garlic to the beef and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well to combine.
04 - In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Add the mixture to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens. Simmer for a few minutes.
05 - Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss until coated in the sauce. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes to absorb flavors.
06 - Sprinkle sliced green onions over the top and serve hot.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For a gluten-free version, substitute traditional noodles with rice noodles.
