Cook linguine or preferred pasta in a large pot of salted, boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat and reduce heat to medium.

Add minced garlic to the beef and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, ground ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well to combine.

In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Add the mixture to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens. Simmer for a few minutes.

Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss until coated in the sauce. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes to absorb flavors.
