In a saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil. Add orzo and cook until almost tender, about 7–8 minutes.

Stir in the chopped broccoli florets. Cook for another 3 minutes until broccoli is tender.

Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until the cheese melts and the mixture becomes creamy.

Spoon into bowls and optionally garnish with extra cheddar. Serve warm.
