Steak & Cheese Loaded Fries (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

→ Main

01 - 1 onion, cut into strips
02 - 8–10 slices of White American cheese
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic salt
04 - 1 green bell pepper, sliced thin
05 - 450 g steak, cut into thin pieces
06 - 567 g bag of frozen waffle fries
07 - 1 tablespoon of olive oil
08 - 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Turn the oven on to 220°C and let it warm up.
02 - Put an oven-safe skillet on medium-high heat. Pour in olive oil, then add the steak slices once the oil is hot. Sprinkle with garlic salt and black pepper, mixing so everything’s seasoned well. Stir until the meat is brown all over. Take the steak out and set it aside.
03 - Leave a tablespoon of the pan drippings in the skillet. Toss the rest. Add the onion and green bell pepper to the pan. Cook them until the onion is soft and the bell pepper still has a slight crunch. Remove and put them aside.
04 - Take the skillet off the heat. Lay down the waffle fries evenly as a base layer. Add four cheese slices on top. Then, spread the cooked steak and sautéed veggies over the fries. Repeat the layering, finishing with the rest of the cheese on top.
05 - Put the skillet in your preheated oven. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and gooey.
06 - Carefully take the skillet out, let it sit for a minute to cool a bit, and enjoy while warm.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Sprinkle chopped parsley or chives on top for an extra pop of flavor.
