# Ingredients You’ll Need:

01 - 1 lb ground turkey
02 - 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 small shallot, finely chopped
05 - 1 tablespoon fish sauce or soy sauce
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
07 - 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
08 - 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
09 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
10 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
11 - 4 whole wheat burger buns
12 - Lettuce leaves, for serving
13 - Sliced cucumber and red onion, for serving
14 - Extra sweet chili sauce, for drizzling

# How to Make It:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, sweet chili sauce, minced garlic, chopped shallot, fish sauce (or soy sauce), lime juice, cilantro, grated ginger, black pepper, and salt. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
02 - Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick. Make a slight depression in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
03 - Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or the skillet with non-stick spray.
04 - Place the patties on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the patties are golden brown.
05 - Toast the whole wheat burger buns lightly on the grill or in the skillet. Place a lettuce leaf on each bun bottom, followed by the turkey patty. Top with sliced cucumber and red onion.
06 - Drizzle additional sweet chili sauce over the patties and cap the burgers with the top bun. Serve hot with your favorite side.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - To ensure the patties are evenly cooked, make a shallow depression in their centers before grilling.
