Cheesy Baked Tennessee Onions (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 3-4 sweet Vidalia onions, skinned and cut into round slices 1/4-inch thick, keeping the rings whole
02 - 4 tbsp cold unsalted butter, divided into 8 equal pieces

→ Seasonings

03 - 1 tsp salt
04 - 1 tsp garlic powder
05 - 1/2 tsp oregano, dried

→ Cheese Blend

06 - 1 cup finely grated Italian cheese mix (combining Provolone, Asiago, Romano, Parmesan, and Mozzarella)
07 - 1 cup finely grated cheddar cheese
08 - 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F. Make sure the rack sits in the middle. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish lightly with cooking spray so food won't stick and cleanup will be easier.
02 - Slice your Vidalia onions crosswise into 1/4-inch circles, being careful to keep the rings together. Spread them across the bottom of your greased dish. Dust evenly with oregano, garlic powder, and salt.
03 - Scatter the butter pieces across your seasoned onions so they'll melt evenly throughout. Sprinkle your cheddar and Italian cheese blend over everything, then finish with a layer of Parmesan on top.
04 - Stick your dish in the oven for about 35-40 minutes. You'll know it's done when the cheese turns bubbly and golden brown, and you can easily pierce the onions with a fork.
05 - Take it out and let it sit for a few minutes before you serve it warm.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Sweet onions like Vidalia work best in this dish as they get really sweet and soft when baked.
