Preheat oven to 204°C.

Using a knife or kitchen scissors, make a slice down one side of each sausage, cutting about halfway through without cutting all the way.

Insert a mozzarella stick into each cut and gently press the sausage back into shape using your hands.

Pour marinara sauce into the bottom of a baking dish and spread evenly with a spoon or spatula.

Place the sausages in the baking dish, cut side up. Cover the dish with foil.

Bake the sausages in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the sausages are cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.
