# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl. Mix until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
03 - Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into 4 equal squares, yielding a total of 8 squares.
04 - Place approximately 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each pastry square. Top each with 1 tablespoon of strawberry preserves.
05 - Fold each pastry square into a triangle, enclosing the filling. Seal the edges firmly with the tines of a fork.
06 - Beat egg with 1 tablespoon water in a small bowl. Gently brush the tops of each turnover with the egg wash.
07 - Arrange turnovers on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 15–18 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
08 - Allow turnovers to cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Ensure puff pastry is thoroughly thawed for optimal flakiness. Do not overfill to prevent leakage during baking.
