# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Dough

01 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
03 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
04 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
05 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
06 - 1 large egg
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - 1 tablespoon red food coloring, gel or liquid

→ Filling and Coating

09 - White chocolate, for filling
10 - Sugar syrup, for coating
11 - Shredded coconut, for rolling

# How to Make It:

01 - Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and put parchment paper on your baking sheet.
02 - Mix flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
03 - Use a mixer to beat the soft butter and sugar for about 2-3 minutes until it looks pale and fluffy.
04 - Stir in the egg, vanilla, and red food coloring until everything's blended and the color is even.
05 - Slowly add the dry stuff to your butter mix, stirring just enough to form a dough.
06 - Take some dough, flatten it in your palm, put a piece of white chocolate in the middle, and wrap the dough around it. Roll into balls and place them on your lined baking sheet.
07 - Pop them in the hot oven for 30 to 45 minutes until they're set but still soft-looking on top.
08 - When they're still warm, brush each cookie with water or sugar syrup. Roll them right away in shredded coconut so it sticks all over.
09 - Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack before you eat them.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - For the brightest red color, go with gel food coloring. Don't leave them in too long or they won't stay soft and cakey inside.
