02 - 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
03 - 1 large egg
04 - 1/2 cup whole milk
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
07 - 1 teaspoon salt
08 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

→ Mashed Potato Layer

09 - 6 medium russet potatoes, peeled and diced
10 - 1/2 cup whole milk
11 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
12 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

→ Topping

13 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
14 - 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
15 - Sliced green onions, for garnish

# How to Make It:

01 - Set oven temperature to 375°F and allow to reach full heat before assembling components.
02 - In a large bowl, thoroughly combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, 1/2 cup milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until incorporated.
03 - Evenly press the meat mixture into the base of a 9x13-inch baking dish, forming a compact and level layer. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
04 - While the meatloaf bakes, place diced russet potatoes in a large pot, cover with water, and boil for approximately 15 minutes or until fork-tender. Drain and return to the pot.
05 - Add 1/2 cup milk, unsalted butter, salt, and pepper to the drained potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy; season to taste.
06 - Remove the partially baked meatloaf from the oven. Carefully spread mashed potatoes in an even layer over the meatloaf base.
07 - Evenly sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the potatoes, followed by crumbled turkey bacon and sliced green onions. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
08 - Remove casserole from oven and allow to set briefly before slicing and serving.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - For a smoother mashed potato layer, ensure potatoes are drained thoroughly before mashing and season incrementally.
