Pumpkin Patch Dirt Cups Halloween (Print-Friendly Version)

Smooth chocolate pudding, fluffy whipped cream, and colorful candy pumpkins blend into a fun Halloween sweet treat.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Base Mixture

01 - 2 cups chilled whole milk
02 - 1 package (3.9 oz) quick chocolate pudding mix
03 - 1 tub (8 oz) cool whipped topping, defrosted

→ Toppings and Garnishes

04 - 15 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed into fine powder
05 - 16 mini candy pumpkins (like Mellowcreme)

# How to Make It:

01 - Pour the chilled milk into a medium bowl and add the chocolate pudding mix. Whisk them together for about 2 minutes until everything gets nice and thick.
02 - Carefully fold your defrosted whipped topping into the pudding mix. Keep going until it's completely blended and looks smooth.
03 - Throw the chocolate sandwich cookies into a zip-top bag and smash them with your rolling pin until you've got what looks like fine dirt.
04 - Start by adding around 2 tablespoons of cookie crumbs to the bottom of each cup. Follow with some pudding mix, then more crumbs. Keep stacking layers until you fill the cups, making sure cookie crumbs are the final layer.
05 - Stick 2 candy pumpkins on top of each cup. If you want to get fancy, you can add green icing to make little vines around them.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - You can make these cups a day before and keep them covered in your fridge.
02 - Make sure you really pulverize those cookies - finer crumbs look more like real dirt.
03 - This is a perfect activity to do with kids - they'll love building and decorating their own cups.
04 - Want something different? Try using gummy worms instead of pumpkins or mix some peanut butter (about 1/4 cup) into your pudding.
05 - Serving these in small mason jars makes them look extra special at parties.
