Cheesesteak Joes (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 3 tablespoons of oil for cooking
02 - 1 chopped white onion
03 - 1 orange bell pepper, minced
04 - 1 red bell pepper, minced
05 - 1 green bell pepper, minced
06 - 2 pounds of ground beef
07 - Salt as needed
08 - Black pepper to taste
09 - A generous 2 ounces of cream cheese
10 - 3 tablespoons of ketchup
11 - 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
12 - Half a cup of water
13 - 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
14 - 1 cup of shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
15 - 4 toasted burger buns

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Warm up the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Toss in the chopped onion and all the minced peppers (green, red, orange) to cook and soften, stirring for around 5 minutes. Once done, take everything out of the pan.
02 - Using the same skillet, add the ground beef and break it apart as it cooks on medium-high heat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper while browning. If there’s too much grease, carefully drain it off.
03 - Dump the sautéed onion and peppers back in with the browned meat. Add cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, water, ketchup, and garlic powder. Stir really well and let it bubble and thicken as it cooks, stirring every so often.
04 - Turn off the stove and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella or provolone all over. Stir until the cheese melts into the mix. Taste it, and if it needs a pinch of salt or pepper, toss some in.
05 - Spoon the cheesy mixture onto the toasted burger buns. If you’re feeling fancy, throw a little extra cheese on top before serving.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Freshly shredding your cheese adds more flavor! Don’t forget to toast the buns for a nice crunch.
