In a large skillet over medium heat, mix together the cream and water. Bring to a very gentle simmer.

Add in the butter and pesto and stir to combine. Continue to stir until the butter is melted and cook for 5 minutes over low heat.

Stir in the parmesan cheese and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
