One Pan Bourbon Chicken (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

01 - 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
02 - 1 tablespoon canola oil
03 - 2 pounds chicken breast, cut into 1 inch cubes
04 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
06 - 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
07 - 1/4 cup light or dark brown sugar
08 - 2 tablespoons bourbon
09 - 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
10 - 1 teaspoon cornstarch
11 - 1 tablespoon water
12 - sesame seeds for garnish, if desired
13 - green onions for garnish, if desired

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Heat sesame oil and canola oil in a large skillet.
02 - Add in chicken and sauté until fully cooked and browned.
03 - Add in garlic and ginger and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add more oil if needed.
04 - In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, bourbon, and rice wine vinegar.
05 - Add the sauce to the chicken and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
06 - In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Slowly add the cornstarch mixture to the sauce and stir frequently until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
07 - If the sauce needs to thicken more, add additional cornstarch as required.
08 - Serve immediately with sesame seeds and green onions for garnish, if desired.
