# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Batter

01 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
03 - 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/3 cup whole milk
07 - 1 large egg
08 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
09 - 1 cup finely chopped apples, ideally Honeycrisp or Granny Smith

→ For Frying

10 - Vegetable oil for deep frying

→ Vanilla Glaze

11 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar
12 - 1 tablespoon whole milk
13 - 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

# How to Make It:

01 - Grab a medium bowl and mix the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt together until everything's well combined.
02 - Take another bowl and beat the whole milk, egg, and vanilla extract together until they're completely mixed.
03 - Add your wet mix to the dry ingredients and stir just until you get a smooth batter. Don't mix too much or it'll get tough.
04 - Lightly fold your chopped apples into the batter so they're spread out nicely.
05 - Fill a deep pan with vegetable oil about 1 1/2 inches deep and warm it up to 350°F (175°C).
06 - Drop small spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, leaving enough space between them. Cook each side for about 2-3 minutes until they turn golden brown and cook all the way through.
07 - Lift the fritters out with a slotted spoon and put them on paper towels to soak up extra oil.
08 - Mix powdered sugar, whole milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until you get a smooth, pourable glaze.
09 - Pour the glaze over your warm fritters. For a nice zing, squeeze some fresh lemon juice on top right before you serve them.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - These treats taste best when they're still warm with the glaze just added. They go really well with a fresh cup of coffee or some spiced apple cider.
