In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking up with a spoon. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and salsa. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.

Spread half the crushed tortilla chips evenly in the prepared baking dish. Spoon the refried beans over the chips. Top with half of the seasoned beef mixture.

Sprinkle one cup of shredded Mexican blend cheese over the beef. Arrange the remaining tortilla chips as a layer, then add the rest of the beef mixture and cheese.

Transfer the dish to the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and allow the casserole to cool for 5 minutes. Top with sour cream, guacamole, diced tomatoes, sliced olives, green onions, and cilantro. Serve warm.
