01 -
Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Put parchment paper in a 9x13-inch baking pan with extra hanging over the sides so you can lift it out easily later.
02 -
Mix the melted unsalted butter and brown sugar in a big bowl until they're completely blended together.
03 -
Put in one egg, stir well, then add the second egg and mix again. Add vanilla extract and stir until everything's mixed up.
04 -
In another bowl, stir together the regular flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
05 -
Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, gently folding until you've got a smooth batter.
06 -
Toss in the chopped apples and fold them into the batter until they're spread out evenly.
07 -
Pour the batter into your lined pan and spread it out flat. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out with just a few moist bits.
08 -
Let the blondies cool down in the pan on a wire rack before you add the glaze.
09 -
In a small pot over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add maple syrup and stir together, then slowly mix in powdered sugar until it's smooth enough to pour.
10 -
Pour the maple glaze over the cooled blondies, cut them into squares, and they're ready to enjoy.
