Stir-Fried Beef Noodles (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

01 - 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thin
02 - 8 oz spaghetti or lo mein noodles
03 - 2 tbsp oil for cooking
04 - 3 cloves minced garlic
05 - 1 red bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
06 - 2 cups of broccoli florets
07 - 1 carrot, cut into thin matchsticks
08 - 3 chopped green onions
09 - 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)
10 - 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
11 - 2 tbsp oyster sauce
12 - 1 tsp sesame oil
13 - 1/2 tsp black pepper, ground
14 - 1 tsp cornstarch stirred into 2 tbsp water (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Follow the directions on the package to cook the noodles. Once done, drain them and set them aside.
02 - Heat up 1 tablespoon of oil in a large wok or skillet on medium-high. Toss in the beef slices and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring, until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
03 - Add the last tablespoon of oil to the same pan. Drop in the broccoli, garlic, carrots, and bell pepper. Cook everything for about 4-5 minutes, giving it an occasional stir, until the veggies are tender but not mushy.
04 - Toss the cooked noodles and the browned beef back into the pan with the veggies.
05 - In a small dish, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper until smooth.
06 - Pour the sauce over the noodles, beef, and vegetables. Stir well until everything is evenly coated.
07 - For a thicker sauce, add the cornstarch-water mix to the pan. Cook for another minute or two while stirring to thicken.
08 - Top with the green onions and serve immediately while hot.
