# What You’ll Need:

→ Teriyaki Sauce

01 - 1/4 cup soy sauce
02 - 3 tablespoons brown sugar
03 - 1 cup water, divided
04 - 2 tablespoons honey
05 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
06 - 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated or minced
07 - 2 tablespoons cornstarch
08 - 1 tablespoon orange zest

→ Stir Fry

09 - 1 pound ground turkey
10 - 2 teaspoons sesame oil
11 - 3 cups broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
12 - 1 small onion, diced
13 - 1 cup shredded carrots
14 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Combine 3/4 cup water, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, and brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir to combine. Bring to a low boil. Whisk 1/4 cup water and cornstarch together until dissolved. Gradually stir in the cornstarch mixture and allow the sauce to thicken. Remove from heat, stir in orange zest, and set aside.
02 - Heat sesame oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced onion and cook for several minutes until softened. Add ground turkey and cook until fully cooked, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F, approximately 7-10 minutes. Add broccoli and shredded carrots, cooking until tender. Reduce heat to low and mix in the Teriyaki sauce. Simmer for several minutes before serving.
03 - Serve the stir fry over rice, noodles, or as desired.

# Additional Notes:

01 - You can substitute ground turkey with chicken, pork, or beef. For beef, drain excess grease after browning.
02 - Spice up the dish with cayenne, red pepper flakes, or sriracha.
03 - Feel free to incorporate additional vegetables such as snow peas, bell peppers, or baby corn.
04 - Alternative serving suggestions include cauliflower rice, noodles, or as lettuce wraps.
05 - If the Teriyaki sauce is too thick, thin it with water to achieve the desired consistency.
