Prick the bottom and sides of the frozen pie crust with a fork. Bake according to package instructions. If concerned about puffing, place parchment paper inside the crust and add 1 cup of dried beans or rice as weights. Let the crust cool completely before filling.

In a small saucepan, whisk together water, sugar, and cornstarch. Heat over medium heat until boiling, then reduce heat and simmer for several minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

Stir in the dry strawberry gelatin until fully dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside to cool, stirring occasionally.

Place the sliced strawberries in the cooled pie crust. Pour the cooled strawberry gelatin mixture evenly over the strawberries.

Refrigerate the assembled pie for at least 4 hours, or until set. Serve chilled, garnished with whipped cream if desired.
