01 -
Place each chicken breast between plastic wrap and pound to an even 1/2-inch thickness. Season all sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
02 -
Arrange three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with bread crumbs combined with grated Parmesan cheese.
03 -
Coat each chicken breast first in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally press into the breadcrumb mixture to fully cover.
04 -
Add olive oil to a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté each chicken breast for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
05 -
Preheat oven to 375°F. Spread 1/2 cup marinara sauce in a baking dish. Arrange sautéed chicken breasts over the sauce. Spoon remaining marinara sauce evenly over each piece. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
06 -
Bake uncovered for 20 minutes, or until mozzarella cheese is melted and bubbly.
07 -
Garnish finished dish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve with spaghetti, garlic bread, or fresh salad.
