# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
03 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
04 - 1 teaspoon salt

→ Wet Ingredients

05 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
06 - 1 cup white sugar
07 - 1 cup packed light brown sugar
08 - 2 large eggs, warmed to room temperature
09 - 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

→ Additions

10 - 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
11 - 1 cup butterscotch chips
12 - Flaky sea salt, for topping

# How to Make It:

01 - Heat your oven to 375°F and put parchment paper on two cookie sheets.
02 - Grab a medium bowl and mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt together until they're well combined. Put it aside for now.
03 - Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, whip the softened butter with both white and brown sugars until the mix looks fluffy and light.
04 - Drop in eggs one after another, making sure to mix well between each. Pour in the vanilla extract and blend until everything looks smooth.
05 - Slowly add your dry mix into the butter mixture, using low speed just until everything comes together.
06 - Use a spatula to fold in both the chocolate and butterscotch chips until they're spread out evenly in the dough.
07 - Drop big spoonfuls of cookie dough onto your lined baking sheets, keeping them at least 2 inches from each other.
08 - Sprinkle a tiny bit of flaky sea salt on top of each ball of dough before they go in the oven.
09 - Bake in groups for about 12 to 15 minutes, turning the trays around halfway, until the edges look done but centers stay a little soft.
10 - Let the cookies sit on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then move them to a wire rack to finish cooling.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Make sure your butter and eggs aren't cold for the best cookie texture.
