Bacon Cucumber Mix (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

→ Base Layer

01 - 2–3 cups of cucumbers, thinly sliced into rounds or half-moons

→ Toppings and Sauce

02 - 1/2 cup of creamy ranch dressing
03 - 1/2 cup of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
04 - 1/4 cup of crispy bacon crumbles (around 3–4 slices)
05 - 2 tablespoons of chopped green onion pieces
06 - 1 tablespoon of fresh dill, or use 1/2 teaspoon if dried
07 - Black pepper and salt, as much as you like

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Sprinkle some salt over your cucumber slices and let them sit for 10–15 minutes. Pat them dry using paper towels to soak up extra moisture.
02 - Toss together the ranch, grated cheddar, bacon, green onions, and dill in a big bowl until it's fully blended.
03 - Carefully stir the cucumbers into the dressing mixture, covering all slices fully with the sauce.
04 - Give it a taste and sprinkle in extra salt or pepper if needed to suit your liking.
05 - Pop the salad in the fridge for 15–30 minutes so all the flavors can come together before digging in.
06 - If you'd like, scatter some extra bacon or a pinch of dill on top before serving.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Adding salt to cucumbers beforehand helps remove their water, keeping the salad from getting watery.
