Tasty pierogies, savory kielbasa, sweet onions, and melted cheese come together in this simple, warming slow-cooked meal that families love.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Main

01 - 12 ounces frozen cheese or potato pierogies
02 - 1 pound kielbasa, cut into rounds
03 - 1 large onion, thinly sliced
04 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
05 - 1 cup sour cream
06 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - Salt, to taste
09 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Garnish

10 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

# How to Make It:

01 - Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted. Toss in kielbasa slices and cook till they're golden brown. Drop in the onions and cook until they turn soft and sweet. Shake in some garlic powder and add salt and black pepper to your liking.
02 - Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray. Put down a layer of frozen pierogies first, then add your cooked kielbasa and onion mix, and finish with a blanket of shredded cheddar on top.
03 - Dollop sour cream all over the top cheese layer.
04 - Put the lid on and cook on high for about 45 to 60 minutes until everything's hot and the cheese has melted nicely.
05 - Scatter chopped parsley on top before you dig in. Serve it while it's still piping hot.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - Try adding some cooked mushrooms or colorful bell peppers for extra veggies. Want a crunchy top? Just stick it under the broiler for 2-3 minutes after slow cooking. Don't have cheddar? Monterey Jack works great too.
