# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Beef and Seasonings

01 - 3 to 4 pounds beef chuck roast
02 - 1 onion, thinly sliced
03 - 3 cups beef broth
04 - 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
05 - 1 teaspoon soy sauce
06 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
08 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme
09 - 1 teaspoon salt
10 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Sandwich Assembly

11 - 4 to 6 hoagie rolls
12 - 6 slices provolone cheese

# How to Make It:

01 - Pat the beef chuck roast dry with paper towels. Rub the roast evenly with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme.
02 - Heat a skillet over high heat and sear the beef roast on all sides until browned, if desired, to enhance the depth of flavor.
03 - Place the sliced onion in the bottom of the crock pot. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
04 - Place the seasoned beef roast atop the onions. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours until the beef is tender and shreds effortlessly.
05 - Remove the roast from the crock pot and shred the meat using two forks, discarding large pieces of fat.
06 - Slice the hoagie rolls and layer the shredded beef onto each roll. Place a slice of provolone cheese over the hot beef.
07 - If desired, position assembled sandwiches under a broiler for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
08 - Spoon the cooking liquid from the crock pot into small bowls and serve as a dip alongside each sandwich.

# Extra Suggestions:

01 - For a richer flavor, sear the beef roast before slow cooking. Serve sandwiches immediately for the best texture and dipped experience.
