Place the flour in a shallow dish. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with water. In a third shallow bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Dredge each asparagus spear in flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture. Arrange coated spears in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Spray the coated asparagus with cooking spray or lightly drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden and crisp.
