Arrange two bread slices, spread side down, on a clean surface; layer each with 2 slices of cheese and a portion of dill pickle slices.

Cover each with a remaining bread slice, spread side facing up.

Set a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter.

Transfer the sandwiches to the skillet and cook each side for 3 to 4 minutes, pressing gently with a spatula until bread turns golden brown and cheese melts.
