Sprinkle both sides of the chicken breasts generously with garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.

Warm olive oil in a big skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken on each side for around 5-7 minutes, or until golden and cooked through. Take it out and set aside for now.

In the same skillet, toss in butter and let it melt. Add the mushrooms and stir them around for about 5 minutes until soft.

Mix in the minced garlic and cook for roughly one minute until it smells amazing.

Slowly add the chicken broth and let it simmer gently for a couple of minutes.

Add in heavy cream, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Keep stirring and let it gently bubble for 3-5 minutes so it thickens up.

Put the chicken back into the skillet and coat it in the tasty sauce. Let it cook for 2-3 more minutes. Top with parsley if you want, and enjoy it warm with mashed potatoes or pasta.
