Classic Sloppy Joes Beef (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

01 - 1.5 pounds ground chuck
02 - 1 medium onion, diced
03 - 4 large hamburger buns
04 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

→ For the sauce

05 - 1 cup ketchup
06 - 1/3 cup water
07 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
08 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
09 - 1/2 teaspoon pepper
10 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
11 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Saute diced onion in a large pan over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
02 - After 3 minutes, add beef to the pan and break apart with a wooden spoon. Cook beef until brown on all sides, about 10 minutes.
03 - Once the beef is brown, add in the ketchup, water, garlic powder, brown sugar, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and simmer for 15 minutes, slightly covered with a lid.
04 - Serve on top of buns. Enjoy!

# Additional Notes:

01 - Recipe makes 4 large Sloppy Joes or 6 decent-sized portions.
02 - Draining beef fat is optional.
03 - If sauce gets too dry during the simmering process, add a few more ounces of water and stir to combine.
