01 -
Warm up your oven to 350°F (175°C). Put parchment paper in a 9x13-inch baking dish with some hanging over the sides so you can pull out the brownies easily when done.
02 -
Slowly melt your butter in a medium pot over low heat. Take it off the stove and stir in your white sugar until everything looks smooth and a bit shiny.
03 -
Let the butter-sugar mix cool down a bit. Then mix in eggs one by one while stirring. Add vanilla and keep mixing until it's thick and glossy.
04 -
In another bowl, sift the flour, cocoa powder, and salt together.
05 -
Slowly add the dry stuff to your wet mix, stirring gently just until mixed. Don't stir too much or your brownies won't be as soft.
06 -
If you want, fold in the chocolate chips to make your brownies extra tasty.
07 -
Pour your brownie mix into the pan and spread it out evenly. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes. They're done when a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out with a few moist bits on it.
08 -
Take the brownies out and let them cool in the pan. Then use the paper to lift them out, cut them up, and enjoy.
