Chinese Ground Beef Cabbage Stir-Fry (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

01 - 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
02 - 4 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
03 - 2 tbsp vegetable oil
04 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
06 - 3 tbsp soy sauce
07 - 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
08 - 1 tsp sesame oil
09 - 1 tsp brown sugar or honey
10 - 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
11 - Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
12 - Cooked white rice (for serving)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked (5–7 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.
02 - Push the cooked beef to one side of the skillet. Add another 1 tbsp of vegetable oil if needed. Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
03 - Add the sliced cabbage to the pan. Mix everything together and stir-fry for 5–7 minutes, until the cabbage is wilted but still slightly crisp.
04 - In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), brown sugar or honey, sesame oil, and optional crushed red pepper flakes. Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir well. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the flavors combine.
05 - Sprinkle the stir-fry with sliced green onions. Serve hot over steamed white rice.
