Preheat the oven to 400°F. Arrange frozen breaded chicken patties on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes until crisp. Slice each patty in half lengthwise.

Combine marinara sauce, dried basil, and garlic salt in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 30 to 60 seconds until warmed through.

Spread garlic butter evenly over one side of each slice of Italian bread.

Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in a skillet over medium heat. Layer 2 slices of provolone cheese, 1 tablespoon marinara sauce, 2 halves of chicken patty, another 2 tablespoons marinara sauce, 1 slice provolone cheese, and top with a second slice of bread, buttered side up.

Cook over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes per side until the bread becomes golden brown and the cheese has melted.

Sprinkle shredded Parmesan cheese over the remaining warmed marinara sauce. Serve sandwiches with extra sauce for dipping.
