In a small mixing bowl, whisk together oyster sauce, granulated sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth and cornstarch until well combined. Set aside.

Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water and set aside.

Heat a large wok or pan with oil over medium heat. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized strips and cook until golden brown. Remove strips and set aside.

In the same pan, add julienned carrots, shredded cabbage and minced garlic. Sauté for a few minutes until vegetables are slightly softened and cabbage becomes somewhat translucent.

Return chicken and noodles to the pan. Pour the prepared sauce over the ingredients and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring to combine everything evenly.

Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately while hot.
