# What You’ll Need:

01 - 1 lb ground turkey (or chicken, beef, or pork)
02 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
03 - 1 egg
04 - ½ cup panko breadcrumbs (regular or gluten-free)
05 - ½ cup shredded carrot, finely chopped
06 - ⅔ cup shredded cheese (Colby Jack or cheddar)
07 - 1 cup BBQ sauce, divided
08 - Pinch of salt

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and spray lightly with oil, or use a Silpat.
02 - In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, carrots, cheese, salt, and ⅓ cup of BBQ sauce. Mix until well combined.
03 - Using a cookie scoop or your hands, form into 20–22 evenly sized meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.
04 - Brush meatballs with half of the remaining BBQ sauce. Bake for 9 minutes. Flip, brush with the rest of the BBQ sauce, and bake another 7–9 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
05 - For extra cheesy goodness, sprinkle with additional cheese right before serving. Enjoy warm with your favorite sides!
