Cheddar Chicken Pasta (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

→ Key Ingredients

01 - 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
02 - 1 lb chicken breast
03 - 4 cups chicken broth
04 - 1 cup heavy cream
05 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
06 - 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
07 - 1 lb smoked sausage

→ Flavor Boosters

08 - Salt and pepper, add as needed
09 - Chopped parsley (optional, for a fresh touch)
10 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
11 - 2 tbsp olive oil
12 - 1 small onion, diced

# Steps to Follow:

01 - In a big pot, warm up 2 tablespoons of olive oil on medium. Toss in your diced chicken and sausage slices. Cook for about 5–7 minutes and stir now and then, ensuring the chicken gets golden.
02 - Add the minced garlic and diced onion into the pot. Let them cook for 2–3 minutes until they turn soft and bring out their smell.
03 - Pour the chicken broth and heavy cream into the pot. Stir in the ranch seasoning mix and the uncooked pasta. Turn the heat up until it starts bubbling, then drop it to low.
04 - Put a lid on the pot and let it cook gently for 10–12 minutes, stirring every few minutes. Wait until the pasta is tender and the sauce becomes thick.
05 - Take the pot off the heat. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until it’s smooth and melted. Add salt and pepper to taste.
06 - Add chopped parsley on top before serving if you'd like. Serve it up hot and dig into the creamy pasta loaded with tender chicken and smoky sausage.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For a little heat, try using spicy smoked sausage or sprinkle in some crushed red pepper flakes as it cooks.
