# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ For the Chicken

01 - 4 pieces Chicken Thighs, bone-in and skin-on
02 - 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil

→ For the Broth

03 - 1/2 cup Soy Sauce or tamari
04 - 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
05 - 2 tablespoons Minced Ginger, fresh recommended
06 - 4 cloves Minced Garlic, fresh
07 - 4 cups Low-sodium Chicken Broth
08 - 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil (optional)
09 - 1 tablespoon Cornstarch (optional)
10 - Salt and Pepper, to taste

→ For the Rice

11 - 2 cups Jasmine Rice
12 - 4 cups Water

→ For Garnish

13 - 2 cups Chopped Green Onions
14 - 1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro

# How to Make It:

01 - Pat dry and season both sides of chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
02 - In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Place chicken skin-side down and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
03 - Flip chicken and add soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Stir to combine.
04 - Pour in chicken broth, ensuring the chicken is submerged. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for about 20 minutes until chicken is tender.
05 - Rinse rice until water runs clear, combine with water, and cook covered on low heat.
06 - If desired, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Stir into the broth and cook until thickened.
07 - Slice the chicken after resting. Serve over rice with broth, garnishing with green onions and cilantro.
