Cheese-Filled Pears (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

→ Fruit Base

01 - 4 pears, ripe and halved, cores removed

→ Cheesy Mix

02 - 120 grams crumbled blue cheese
03 - 30 grams toasted walnuts, finely chopped
04 - 15 millilitres honey, with extra for drizzling

→ Flavour Boosters

05 - 15 millilitres balsamic glaze or vinegar
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
07 - Fresh thyme leaves for decoration

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Turn the oven on to 190°C. Set up a baking tray for the pears.
02 - Cut the pears in half, scoop out the cores using a spoon or melon baller, and lay them with the flat side facing up on the prepared tray.
03 - In a bowl, mix together the blue cheese crumbles, chopped nuts, and honey until they're well blended.
04 - Take the cheesy mixture and gently press it into the cored sections of each pear half.
05 - Pour balsamic over the stuffed fruit, sprinkle with some black pepper, and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pears soften and the cheese gets gooey and golden.
06 - Once out of the oven, drizzle a bit more honey on top and add sprigs of thyme. For the best taste, enjoy them while warm.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Ripe but firm pears hold up better during baking. For extra creaminess, toss in a bit of goat cheese with the blue cheese. Serve either warm or cold—it works great as a fancy starter!
