08 - A couple of tablespoons of thinly sliced green onions

01 - Set your oven to 400°F. Scoop out 2 tablespoons of crumbled bacon to use for topping later on.
02 - Toss together the chicken, most of the bacon crumbles, sour cream, ranch seasoning, shredded cheese, and cream of chicken soup in a big mixing bowl until they're all blended well.
03 - Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan, pour in the mixture, and smooth it out. Lay the tater tots on top in a single, even layer.
04 - Pop it in the oven and bake for about 40 minutes. Keep an eye out for golden, crispy tater tops and bubbling edges.
05 - Take the dish out of the oven. Sprinkle the reserved bacon and sliced green onions over the top, then enjoy while it's hot.
