Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Slice the smoked sausage into 1-inch coin shapes.

In the prepared baking dish, add the sliced smoked sausage, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and dijon mustard. Stir together until evenly combined.

Bake for 45 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly, darker in color, and thickened. Stir the mixture a couple of times during baking to ensure the sausages are well coated.

Serve with toothpicks as an appetizer, or as a side dish. Optionally, serve alongside mac & cheese for a kid-friendly meal. If keeping warm for a party, bake as directed, then transfer to a slow cooker on the WARM setting for 2-3 hours.
